Federation Policy¶

The Federation Policy describes the conditions in which a federated community is banned or another instance may be defederated from AniSocial.

AniSocial will ban a federated community if it meets any one of the following conditions:

1. The community creates technical or legal issues that affect AniSocial's functionality or compliance.
2. The nature of the community violates the Content Policy of AniSocial.
3. The community refuses to tag itself as NSFW despite being an NSFW community by definition or as requested by the AniSocial admins.

AniSocial will only defederate from another instance if it meets any one of the following conditions:

1. The instance creates technical or legal issues that affect AniSocial's functionality or compliance.
2. The instance demonstrates a clear intention or purpose to cause harm to AniSocial.
3. There is a relatively large amount of valid sitewide bans originating from that instance in AniSocial.
4. There is credible evidence to suggest that a relatively large portion of an instance's userbase is deceptively using bots to pose as real users.
5. The instance poses a reasonable risk to the development of Lemmy, the Fediverse, and/or ActivityPub as open decentralized social networking technologies.
