Bot Policy¶

The Bot Policy describes the rules regarding bots. Bots are defined as automated or scripted programs that interact with the instances using user accounts.

The Bot Policy requires users to abide by the following rules:

1. Bots must be appropriately tagged as "Bot". This setting may be found under the user settings with the label "Bot Account".

2. The owner of the bot is responsible for the actions and content produced and submitted by the bot.

3. Bots must include the contact information of its owner in its profile description. The contact information must be any one of the following:

4. A valid email address

5. A valid Lemmy account that is federated with AniSocial

6. Bots are subjected to the same content policy as indicated in the TOU.

Failure to comply with this policy will result in a ban of the bot account until its violations are resolved or an appeal is made by the bot owner.
